Nota per i suoi colorati mosaici, che ornano molti degli edifici del centro storico, Ravenna è una città dell'Emilia Romagna ricca di storia e monumenti di gran interesse culturale.Prima tra tutte la Basilica di San Vitale, a pianta ottagonale, seguita dalla Basilica di Sant'Apollinare Nuovo, risalente al VI secolo, e dal Mausoleo di Galla Placidia con pianta a croce. A nord del centro si trova il Mausoleo di Teodorico, costruito nel VI secolo per Re Teodorico il Grande, un edificio funerario circolare gotico in pietra con cupola monolitica.

Anche a tavola emerge il "mosaico culturale" di Ravenna: dai passatelli ai cappelletti, fino al cibo da strada per eccellenza, ovvero la mitica piadina, i piatti tipici di Ravenna sono in grado di conquistare ogni palato.
