Isola di Capo Rizzuto

Despite its name, Isola Capo Rizzuto is not an island, but a beautiful promontory located along the eastern coast of Calabria, in the province of Crotone, about 4 kilometers from the sea.

Situated within the Capo Rizzuto Marine Protected Area, it is a natural oasis with crystal-clear waters and stunning stretches of coastline, home to a wide variety of flora and fauna worth preserving. The area enjoys a typical Mediterranean climate, with hot summers—often exceeding 30°C—and mild winters, occasionally marked by heavy rainfall and storms.

Thanks to its strategic location, Capo Rizzuto has played an important role throughout Mediterranean history. The urban area is made up of several hamlets, including Le Castella, Capo Rizzuto, Le Cannella, Marinella, Praialonga, and Sant’Anna, most of which are located along the coast.
