Frosinone

Frosinone is a town in the Lazio region, perched on a hill overlooking the Sacco River valley. With ancient origins tracing back to the Volsci and later the Romans, Frosinone has a long history reflected in archaeological remains and historic buildings. Although today it is mainly known as an administrative and industrial center, the town’s historic center still offers charming views with its squares, churches, and scenic alleys.

Surrounded by a territory rich in nature and picturesque villages, Frosinone is well connected to Rome, about 90 kilometers away. The city is home to cultural institutions, theaters, and local events that contribute to its unique identity. While not a mass tourism destination, Frosinone serves as an interesting starting point to explore Ciociaria, a region rich in traditions, gastronomy, and natural beauty.
