Caserta

Caserta, located north of Naples, is best known for its imposing Royal Palace, one of the largest and most spectacular royal palaces in the world, built in the 18th century by order of the Bourbon family. Designed by Luigi Vanvitelli, the Royal Palace of Caserta is a Baroque architectural masterpiece surrounded by a vast park featuring Italian and English-style gardens, monumental fountains, and a hydraulic system supplied by the ancient Carolino Aqueduct.

Besides the Royal Palace, the city offers other points of interest such as the medieval village of Casertavecchia, the Belvedere of San Leucio with its industrial history linked to silk production, and the Roman amphitheater of Santa Maria Capua Vetere.

Rich in UNESCO World Heritage sites and cultural treasures, Caserta offers a journey through art, history, and nature.
