Wine Relais

The Wine Relais "Castrum" (castle) is located on the highest summit of the central hill of the Valpolicella Classica, in the medieval village of Castelrotto from where you can embrace the whole valley with a glance, and it is immediately beauty.

Here is Villa Fraccaroli, a jewel of classic 18th-century Italian architecture that has come back to life with the opening of the Castrum Wine Relais.

The estate borders the Castle area

Today the Castrum Relais covers an area of 10,000 square meters and offers 6 rooms and 6 suites obtained from the 18th century villa that hosts us, one of the most suggestive terraces in Valpolicella, a cellar with wines of its own production, the Wine Bar & Bistrò and a small olive grove.

The Estate represents a typical example of the ancient farms of the Maremma: a group of stone buildings and its Manor Villa form the old village of the Montecucco Estate with the Church of S. Pietro S. Antonio Abate in the centre. The historic cellar from the 1300s and the ziri dating back to the 1600s tell the story of our products which you can savor in the tasting room or inside our "I Granai" restaurant.
